The LCAA Women Celebrate International Women’s Day with Glamour

Under the scorching sun at the SKD Sports Complex, the air buzzed with energy as women from every corner of government agencies and ministries gathered for the celebrations of the International Women's Day, under the national theme: “Give To Gain”. Banners waved in the breeze, emblazoned with messages of empowerment and unity, while music echoed across the open space in front of the stadium to add more bliss to the celebrations. Amongst the bevy of colorful attire, the women from the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority stood out in their crisp African attire, elegantly dressed.

They had arrived early, carrying a banner that soared, emblazoned with mottos of breaking barriers and reaching new heights. The well-organized event swelled with prominent Liberian women, leaders, trailblazers, voices of change who took the stage to share stories of resilience. 

The program was colorful and inspiring, showcasing the achievements and resilience of women in various sectors, including aviation. LCAA’s attendance highlighted the important role women play in the aviation industry, reinforcing the Authority’s commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women within the sector. 

Representatives from foreign governments and organizations joined too; their presence signified global solidarity. Various speeches rang out about shattering glass ceilings with intermittent performances, involving traditional dances and songs that lifted spirits, reflecting the essence of International Women’s Day globally.

The women of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority did not just go to participate; they went to shine, and shine, they did. The presence of the LCAA women, represented flights toward a brighter future for all Liberian daughters. As the sun dipped low, glowing over the SKD Sports complex, the women gathered for a group photo, to not only climax, but to also register their participation in the 2026 celebrations of the International Women’s Day. For the Civil Aviation Authority's daughters, it was more than a day; it was an intentional statement, propelling them forward with the promise of endless skies.
